Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Plushen (“we”, “us”, the “app”) handles information when you use it. We built Plushen to need as little of your data as possible: there are no accounts to create, and the artwork you make stays on your device.

Information we collect

No account, no sign-in. We do not ask for your name, email, or password to use the app.

Your artwork and projects are stored on your device. On iOS, they are also backed up to your own private iCloud account (using Apple’s iCloud/CloudKit) so you can recover them if you delete and reinstall the app. We cannot see this data, and it is never stored on our own servers.

Purchase data. When you subscribe, our payments partner (RevenueCat, working with the Apple App Store or Google Play) processes the transaction and tells the app whether your subscription is active. We never see your full payment-card details.

Diagnostics. If the app crashes or errors, we collect anonymous diagnostic information (such as device model, OS version, and a technical error report) to fix problems.

Usage analytics. We collect anonymous, aggregated usage events (such as which screens are opened and whether onboarding was completed) to understand how the app is used and improve it. These events are not tied to your identity.

Advertising identifier (with your permission). If you allow tracking when asked, we may use your device’s advertising identifier to measure which ads led you to the app. See “Advertising and attribution” below.

How we use information

To deliver and manage your subscription and unlock paid features.

To diagnose crashes and fix bugs.

To understand how the app is used in aggregate so we can improve it.

To measure how well our advertising works, so we can reach the right people, only with your permission, as described below.

Legal bases (EEA and UK)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your information on these legal bases: to perform our contract with you (delivering and managing your subscription); our legitimate interests (keeping the app secure, fixing crashes, and understanding aggregate usage in a privacy-preserving way); and your consent (using your advertising identifier for ad attribution), which you can withdraw at any time.

Third-party services

We rely on a small number of service providers who process limited data on our behalf: RevenueCat (subscription management), Sentry (crash diagnostics), PostHog (product analytics), AppsFlyer and Meta (advertising attribution), Apple (Search Ads attribution), and Apple or Google (payment processing). Each handles data under its own privacy terms.

Advertising and attribution

We run ads to promote the app. To understand which ads work, we use attribution partners (AppsFlyer and Meta) and Apple’s advertising-attribution features. On iOS, we ask for your permission through the App Tracking Transparency prompt before using your device’s advertising identifier for this purpose.

If you decline, we still count installs and subscriptions in a privacy-preserving, aggregated way, but we do not use your advertising identifier. You can change your choice at any time in your device’s privacy settings.

Data sharing and sale

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it except with the service providers above, as needed to run the app, or where required by law.

Children’s privacy

Plushen is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.

Your choices and rights

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings.

Because your artwork is stored locally, deleting the app removes it from your device.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal data, and you may object to or ask us to restrict certain processing. Where we rely on your consent (for example, advertising attribution), you can withdraw it at any time, and you may lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

If you are in California, you may request to know, delete, or correct the personal information we hold about you, and you may opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell your personal information, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

To make any request, email us at support@plushen.app. Because the app has no accounts, we may ask for limited information to verify your request.

International data transfers

We are based in Kuwait. The service providers listed above may process data in the United States or other countries; where data is transferred internationally, they apply their own safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) under their privacy terms.

Data security and retention

We take reasonable measures to protect information. Because most of your data never leaves your device, you control its retention by managing the app and its data on your device.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest version, and continued use of the app means you accept the current policy.
